The Real Meaning of SEO: Do Your Job You Will Succeed
Short while ago google had changed their ranking algorithm, in the name of providing more relevant search results for it’s users, google engineers published blog post which indicated there were 11.8% organic search results will be affected, in another word, google thinks about 12% of it’s search results are really bad and need to manipulated. They planned and started the update about one year ago, no wonder I saw a few of my keywords’ ranks dropped like a rock, but almost all the ranks promoted by articles and blog posts were not affected, a few of these keywords ranked better than ever, it’s obvious that linking campaign the old way is the thing of past, probably due to links crammed sites being de-indexed by google.
Now what on earth is plain link building and how do people do it? a lot of marketing companies did and are doing the plain link building, they add your links to those linking websites without context, these websites will only be updated when new links are being added, and most of them are useless, the name of link spamming sites is justified. Now google algorithm probably will weed out these sites, any links on them will be affected too.
Maybe a few examples will make it clear. When I got into online marketing long time ago, I started with this keyword, Car Tie Down, at that time almost every body was doing plain linking campaign, a lot of sites I used had too many links, and those sites had only links, no real content at all. This strategy worked in the beginning, finally the rank improved a lot, the honeymoon lasted until google changed it’s mind. Something opposite happened to this keyword, chain pullers, we promoted this keyword with articles and blog posts, with very few plain links, now we have really good ranking for this keyword. So contextual link wins this time, what about future? In fact the only thing matters here is content, so if you create great content, your rank will improve over time, since search engines are another kind of readers. You may think there are already too many blogs out there, it’s not true, there will never be too many good blogs, take a look at this blog, sue havens toy , I build it as a hobby and kept adding good or mediocre content, you probably think this site won’t rank a all, in actuality my site is ranking high for some nice search phrases. Now you can see, blog marketing with great content is the way to go. If you can build a group of your own blogs, such as Roadside Emergency Kit, you will have the power to push any sites up in search engines.
Remember content is king, you just need to create content, publish and share with people, in the mean time advertise your business with your content, your effort will reward you handsomely in the end. The virtues, persistence and patience, are essential for your success, you shouldn’t expect things to improve overnight, it doesn’t matter you’re doing SEO or advertising your business, let’s keep building and maintaining our blogs until end of the day.
